As an Insurance Agency CEO, I fully understand the value and benefits in subscribing to DOK-It Online. The insurance companies we represent require an inventory list and the value of items damaged or stolen at the time of a loss. I can?t imagine trying to create this list after the fact.
A family friend was recently robbed. She was told, if they could provide a list and description of items stolen within 24 ? 48 hours, they may be able to recover some items. Unfortunately it took several weeks to create a list of the items taken from their home. Their insurance company also required a signed notarized letter from a close friend acknowledging she was seen with the jewelry in her possession prior to the burglary since she did not have prior documentation.
I don?t want to find myself in that situation and want to be prepared in any event that may arise and have since subscribed to Dok-it Online for our business and my personal inventories. The process is simple and the program is easy to use. I have peace of mind knowing that in the event of a loss, details of my personal inventory are stored safely and securely online and I have instant access to it whenever I need it. It was very unfortunate what happened to Billy and Janette Johnson, but it is wonderful to see them using this bad situation in a positive way for the benefit of others.
